Bald Eagle

My Godfather had a cool bird in his house. Oh, it was a little aged, and missing some feathers. But it was cool.
It was an American Bald Eagle. Somehow, he got a permit to have this bird preserved. I’m too old now, to remember how he came about it.

Now things have changed. The American Bald Eagle is doing much better than it was in the past decades. So much so, that it is coming off the endangered species list.

Bald eagles may be down listed from endangered to threatened in Pennsylvania as a result of action this week by the Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners.

Not sure how the PGC’s actions effect the National Bird, as it protected by federal law.
