Turkey Hunting Accidents

Seems like this happens every year.

Safety tips for turkey hunters:
1. Wear orange when moving.
2. Know your target before shooting; you can only shoot a bearded bird.
3. If you see another hunter moving toward you, shout…the turkeys have certainly already spotted him and “flew the coop” so why risk an accident.
4. Don’t stalk a bird; sit and call.
5. Gobblers and humans look very different; if you can’t see the bird’s beard, you have no business shooting.
