Hot Summer

It has been a hot summer so far, and we just hit August.

This is from Wyoming, where it appears it is just as hot.

All over Pennsylvania, records are being set for power consumption, as folks try to beat the heat.

The continuing hot, humid weather drove electricity use by customers of PPL Electric Utilities to a new summer record Tuesday afternoon (7/26), based on preliminary figures.

Customers used an estimated 7,024 megawatt-hours of electricity for the hour ending at 5 p.m.
