Proof! Mountian Lions in the City of Brotherly Love:
Now, after almost a decade of unverified appearances around the region, there’s been a definitive cougar sighting. Three cougars, actually, on a ledge not far from the Schuylkill Expressway.
I just knew it!
And you can see them, too. They’re at the Philadelphia Zoo.
Three orphaned cougar cubs, rescued by a South Dakota biologist after their mother was shot by a hunter, are the first arrivals for the zoo’s $20 million Bank of America Big Cat Falls habitat, set to open in May.
There has been a lot of interest in cougar sightings in Pennsylvania…
